Life’s Aperature

Aperture: The adjustable opening—or f-stop—of a lens determines how much light passes through the lens on its way to the film plane, or nowadays, to the surface of the camera's imaging sensor.

I want life to be lived as if we have an adjustable opening. Just like the aperture of a camera, we need to be flexible at letting more light into our lives. Now you can take that as spiritual as you want, but it isn't meant to be. I am simply saying that the ability to adapt and change is something we as a people have forgotten how to do. We get set in our ways and we get comfortable. This comfort also makes us forget that if we open our aperture and let more light in, there are a lot of things around us we couldn't see before or have missed.
